Serving Suggestions

Angelina’s crab cakes really only need a plate, and maybe a squeeze of lemon or a dollop of your favorite tartar or cocktail sauce.  But these generous cakes can also make an amazing burger substitute; just place on a toasted, buttered bun, add a smear of the sauce of your choice, shredded lettuce, a slice of vine-ripened tomato, and no one will miss the beef.  Having a special brunch?  What about jazzing up your eggs benedict?  Place a crab cake on half of a toasted English muffin, top with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce, along with a couple drops of hot sauce, and you’ll be a morning hero.

Preparation Instructions:
Refrigerate Crab cakes immediately upon receipt.  Use within 3 days or freeze for longer storage.  Thaw frozen crab cakes under refrigeration.  Gently compress in plastic wrap to retain shape.  Conventional Oven: Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.  Place on baking pan and top with butter, lemon and/or white wine.  Cook 35-40 minutes until centers are hot.  For crispier crab cakes, brown top in broiler for an additional 2-3 minutes.  Sauté: over medium heat, sauté crab cakes in a small amount of butter or oil.  Cook each side until nicely browned.  Add lemon or white wine to taste.  Cover and simmer for 6-10 minutes until centers are hot.
